Project Information
Wetwood Rough, nestled in the idyllic pastures of Chiddingfold, draws inspiration from its surroundings. The tall grasses that once swayed like waves guided the design, resulting in a home that feels seamlessly tied to the natural landscape.
The main two-storey structure extends into the landscape like a boat navigating a sea of grass, while two single-storey wings anchor it firmly to its site, forming a welcoming entrance.
Expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the ever-changing beauty of the natural world, immersing residents in the rhythms of daylight and the shifting seasons. Every moment in the home is a reminder of its connection to the land and sky.
At the rear, an outdoor terrace projects over a naturally formed pool, creating a space for relaxation and reflection. Whether basking in sunlight or taking a wild swim, the design encourages an intimate relationship with nature.
Inside, tactile materials like limewashed walls, reclaimed timber, and natural stone evoke warmth and authenticity, creating interiors that are both contemporary and timeless. Tailored finishes and bespoke furniture ensure every detail reflects the spirit of the surrounding landscape, making Wetwood Rough a sanctuary of understated elegance.
